Uniformed Services – NCFE – Level 3 Diploma
COURSE OVERVIEW
This qualification is designed to prepare you to be a ‘potential recruit’; into the Police.
It will prepare you to make a recruitment application.
It can also act as a ‘stepping stone’; into University.
You will benefit from the expertise of staff who have backgrounds in the Police, Armed Forces and other Public Services.
This course will give you a comprehensive insight into the Police.
Crawley College has a strong relationship with both Surrey and Sussex Police and you will have the opportunity to take part in activities facilitated by these Police forces.
You will need a good standard of English to communicate with members of the public and to write-up notes and reports. You will participate in Role plays and leadership roles within a team. You will learn personal skills which are used in the Police.
FURTHER INFORMATION
You will need a minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above and two other GCSEs at grade 4 or above or a Level 2 qualification (for progressing students).
Students can progress onto the extended diploma or apply into the Police (age dependent).
Coursework based written work and practical assessments. Successful completion of this course to a merit level allows you to apply for the Met, Surrey and Sussex Police.
All students are required to wear a uniform. This is purchased via the college shop. If a student is eligible for a bursary the uniform will be included.
Students will be required to pay an enrichment fee towards trips and visits during the year.
